2009 MUDDIN ON THE MOUNTAIN RULES

 

All Drivers In All Classes Must Wear A Helmet and Safety Belt!!

 

No Passengers!

 

Inspectors Will Have Final Say So!

No Alcoholic Beverages !!

 

All Drivers Need To Be Lined Up And Ready To Run! – You Will Have 1 Minute To Get To The Starting Line! (If you are having problems please notify an official)

 

Fire Extinguishers Are Recommended!

 

Muddin On The Mountain Will Not Be Responsible For Any Accidents, Injuries, or Thefts

Each truck and driver can only enter one time per class and must be entered by the start of the class. Another driver can enter the same class in the same truck (up to 4 times)

 

Class jumping is allowed as long as the truck is legal for that class

 

No engine or transmission cooling devices, fuel line, fuel tank, or exhaust in cab compartment

 

Vehicle battery must be secured – if mounted inside the passenger compartment, it must be completely covered and secured in a marine box

 

All vehicles with removable tops and open vehicles must be equipped with a rollbar and seatbelt

 

Must have applicable working breaks

 

Speed limit in pit area is 5 mph

 

Drivers must stop and stick their hand outside of the window while strap is being hooked

 

All runs will begin from a stopped position at the starting line – no rolling starts

 

If there are more than 10 trucks in a class – the top 5 will be allowed to run the 2nd pass

 

A 2nd pass is optional – if the driver does not want to run, they will need to tell the announcer – if you have the best run in the class you do not have to run until your time is beat (this can be done at any time during the class)

 

All drivers must sign a waiver and release the track from all responsibility – All drivers under the age of 18 must have a guardian’s signature to run

 

Bodies, frames, and motors can be interchanged as long as the wheelbase  matches – exam: S-10 truck with V-8 engine and ½ ton or ¾ ton axles

CLASS A - STOCK

 

35” and smaller DOT tires

 

No cutting of regrooving of any kind on tires

 

No tractor tires

 

Must have full body street legal 4x4 truck or jeep

 

Must have stock motor – engine swap allowed

 

Aluminum intakes are allowed

 

Maximum of single line single pump 4 barrel carb or factory fuel injection – no Predators or spacer plates

 

No racing fuel

 

No nitrous

 

Must be naturally aspirated

 

Must pull 15 inch pounds of vacuum at the tech mans discretion

 

No stall converters

 

Stock transmission and transfer case – Dana are acceptable

 

No refabricating or moving anything from bumper to bumper

 

Must have bumpers – tube bumpers are allowed

 

No cutting or gutting allowed – acceptable for tire clearance

 

Must have max. 2 inch ball or tow hooks

 

Headers are allowed but no uncapped headers

 

Must have complete exhaust directed to rear of truck or to ground

 

Rear stacks are allowed

CLASS B - STOCK

 

36” – 39.5” DOT tires

No nitrous

 

Must be naturally aspirated

 

Stall converters allowed

 

Straight shifts must have a blow proof bell housing

 

No homemade transmissions or transfer cases – Dana are acceptable

 

No refabricating or moving anything from bumper to bumper

 

Bumpers are not needed – must have max. 2 inch ball or tow hooks

 

No cutting or gutting allowed – acceptable for tire clearance

 

Uncapped headers allowed – down draft only – no zoomies or up draft

 

Rear stacks are allowed

Built motors allowed

 

One dual line carb or factory fuel injection

 

Racing fuel allowed

 

No nitrous

 

Must be naturally aspirated

 

Stall converters allowed

Homemade transmissions and transfer cases allowed – No chain drive transfers

 

Cab trucks and rails with automatic transmission must have a shield around transmission

 

Cab trucks and rails must have spark plug shields

 

Any kind of rear ends are allowed

 

Must have max. 2 inch ball or tow hooks

 

Uncapped headers allowed

 

Up draft headers allowed

 

Buggies and rock crawlers will be in this class
